Maaaany people have asked me for my address.. This is my temporary address for the orientation. Just posting it online so it is easily accessible. I don't know my home address for September through February yet, but it looks like this is VERY close to where I will be the whole time (I am placed in Yeongi)!
Address for August Orientation:
Hoyeon Dormitory #4
Korea University Sejong Campus
Jochiwon-Eup, Yeongi-Gun,
Chungnam 339-700

You can ship up to a 4lb package to Korea with USPS for $13.45, not bad but I still hope I do not forget anything because that can add up!

Location Confirmation
I will be teaching here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeongi
It is rural, but I already knew that! I couldn't hope for anything more culturally fulfilling! The best way to know the people of a country, to understand their customs, the best way to learn a language is to live in a rural setting. I am ecstatic!
And I shall be leaving from Atlanta GA on August 1st. Meep! It's so real all of a sudden! ^_^

Less than 2 weeks!
I have begun my obligatory travel blog.
TaLK, Teach and Learn in Korea Program, talk.go.kr, informed me that I will be leaving from Atlanta on one of three potential dates; August 1st, 2nd or 3rd! So, regardless of my actual date of departure, I now have less than two weeks until I take my chances on a big jet plane and leave for Korea.
Those of you who may not already know, I will be teaching English to Korean public school children for a 6 month contract from August 4th 2010 to January 31st, 2011.
So far I know I will be placed in the Chungnam (Cheungchungnam-do) province on the West coast of South Korea which begins about 50 miles south of Seoul. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chungnam
I'm going to send people a link to this blog so they can check up on me; see that I am not dead and such.
